Finnish producer of cold pressed turnip rapeseed oil (conventional and organic) is looking for food industry partners for cooperation under a subcontracting or outsourcing agreement

This Finnish company was originally established as cooperation among local farmers in 1997 to process local rapeseed. Since then the company has developed their production and is nowadays producing several flavored turnip rapeseed oils and organic turnip rapeseed oil. Turnip rapeseed (Brassica rapa subsp. oleifera) is nowadays cultivated mainly in Finland. It has strong relation with rapeseed but it is a different species with its own special characteristics. The light of the Finnish midnight sun ripens the rapeseed into a particularly aromatic and rich in nutritional components such as essential fatty acids (Omega 3 (12 %) and Omega 6 (23 %)) and vitamin e and tocopherols. The rapeseed growers are very important partners for the company because 100 % traceability of the production back to the grower’s fields. The rapeseed growers have also committed to long-term cooperation and development of the rapeseed farming. Cold pressing is a gentle manufacturing method preserving the taste and valuable nutrients. The company is offering the batch production process. The company´s products can be found in supermarkets and grocery stores all over Finland. Now the Finnish company is looking for international contacts, especially in Germany, France, Benelux countries and Scandinavian countries,. The potential partners could be food companies, bakeries, other food processing companies, oil bottling plants etc. who can cooperate with small occasional batches of organic or conventional cold pressed turnip rapeseed oil and value pure high quality ingredients and traceability in their production under subcontracting or outsourcing agreement.
