Summary:
Dynamic Greek start-up is offering automation and optimization software for new and retrofit ship designs, capable of converting two-dimensional designs into optimal ones directly in three-dimensional space. The client is interested in finding potential partners in Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein in order to conclude commercial agreements with technical assistance.
Description:
This fast-growing Greek company was founded in 2019 by three professors from the naval architecture and marine engineering department of a Greek university, and an engineer with 25 years’ experience in the financial sector in the USA. They have combined their unique expertise in marine engineering, geometrical modeling, virtual, augmented and mixed reality (VR / AR / MR) ship design, computer-aided design (CAD) software development, with extensive business experience, in order to develop state-of-the-art technology solutions for the shipping industry. The maritime industry is facing enormous challenges in terms of new environmental regulations and the need to move towards decarbonization, together with travel restrictions which require the retrofitting of the majority of the world's 90,000 ships and applications for remote operations and training. Shipowners have delayed decisions for years and thus been left behind on new technology adoption, so they are still relying on engineers from home offices traveling to ships and shipyards around the world for maintenance, retrofitting, inspections and monitoring installations and are now faced with shipyard closures, bottlenecks, and travel restrictions, making it impossible to implement retrofits and execute everyday tasks. This Greek team has developed cutting-edge software for the green energy transition in shipping, that speeds up and improves the process of ship modification design and enables MR assisted inspections, operations and remote assistance, resulting in massive time, cost and efficiency savings. Its immersive digital ship software provides the end-to-end digital continuity platform, with all the applications needed to address the challenges of green transition in shipping, giving shipowners the tools, flexibility, and safety to navigate in an ever-changing environment. The client is interested in finding potential partners in Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein in order to conclude commercial agreements with technical assistance.
