Summary:

Description:
This Italian (Sicilian) artisan company has been researching, recovering and recycling technical materials, offcuts and production scraps that are close to being discarded for the past six years in order to create accessories and objects for everyday use and furnishing elements. The company has consistently chosen to be a sustainable company in terms of materials, processes, business model and customer experience. They reuse disused sails from sailing competitions and recover at low cost off-cuts and off-cuts of quality that are not available on the market, as well as textile production and processing waste (heavy PVC, coloured canvas for outdoor use, furnishing fabrics). They operate a circular economy approach in which they try in every way possible to valorize synthetic technical materials through successive production and processing cycles, to delay their entry into the biosphere as much as possible and reduce the carbon footprint of waste on the planet. They use the small scraps from their own production in their training workshops or give scraps to local craftsmen who can still use them in their smaller-scale production. New materials include vegetable-tanned leather from the Genuine Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather Consortium, top quality sailcloth webbing, made in Italy metalwork, tapes, straps and accessories, recycled polyester yarns for light materials and Vidama yarns (superior quality) for heavy materials. The company currently operates on the domestic market but has started some international collaborations in the context of innovative projects in the textile area. The company seeks international business partners able to supply textiles and accessories required in the manufacturing process
