Summary:
A Korean company has developed a non-electric chemical dosing device for water disinfection. The device internally installed in water tanks feeds chemicals (chlorine, etc) and disinfects the water maintaining residual chemical concentration level. As the device is modularized, it can be used semi-permanently. The company hopes to expand its business and is looking for partners to conclude either commercial agency or distribution agreements.
Description:
When thinking of a water source, it's easy to think of surface water, like lakes, rivers and streams. However, approximately 97% of usable fresh water in the world comes from ground water. While ground water sources are more plentiful and less polluted than surface water sources, as population and pollution increase, it needs to be thoroughly disinfected before its various uses. A Korean company, with expertise in pro-environmental technologies, has developed non-electric chemical dosing device for underground water disinfection. Using non-electric power to operate the impeller in the device, the company’s chemical dosing device feeds chemicals into the underground and valley water, and then stores disinfected water in the tank. In order to disinfect water without the use of electrical or man power, the equipment parts are delicately assembled with its individual roles, according to its purposes.  For underground water - Chemical storage tank: Stores chemicals, including chlorine - Tube pipe: Sucks chemical from the chemical storage tank and sends it up to the chemical dosing device - Chemical dosing device: Internally fixed in the water tank, when ground water flows in, the impeller rotates without use of electrical power and chemical is fed into the water. The device automatically maintains consistent concentration level of chemical by dosing it in proportion to the rate of water inflow and impeller rotation. - Water tank: Holds disinfected water  For valley water - Chemical storage tank: Stores chemicals, including chlorine - Tube pipe: Sucks chemical from the chemical storage tank and sends it up to the chemical dosing device - Chemical dosing device: Internally fixed in the water tank, when ground water flows in, the impeller rotates without use of electrical power and chemical is fed into the water. The device automatically maintains consistent concentration level of chemical by dosing it in proportion to the rate of water inflow and impeller rotation. - Float valve: Controls water level in the water tank - Check valve: Controls overflow of water - Water tank: Holds disinfected water The company developed devices for water disinfection in both small and medium-sized ground and valley water without the use of electrical power. As it is powered without electricity, its devices are both affordable cost wise and without minor breakdowns. Also, using liquid type chlorine, the chemical does not solidify during usage. Based on water types, the company’s chemical dosing device can sterilize up to 300~400㎥ of water a day, and as the device is modularized, it can be semi-permanently used to disinfect water sources. The company’s chemical dosing device can be used in different areas in need of disinfected water, including group meal services, schools, hospitals, rainwater facilities and farms. With its wide application field, the company hopes to expand its business in the global market. The company hopes to conclude distribution agreement with a potential partner, interested or in need of company’s disinfecting device. - Commercial Agency Agreement: This Korean company is looking for an agent to represent its products or services. - Distribution Services Agreement: This Korean company is looking for a distributor with concrete network to sell its products in local markets.
Type (e.g. company, R&D institution…), field of industry and Role of Partner Sought:
