This UK-based company specialises in high temperature, chemical resistant coatings which are suitable for use in a wide range of industries such as oil and gas, power and chemicals. As part of its growth strategy, the company is looking to conclude agreements with experienced agents who can help promote its products to potential clients in some key European markets and in New Zealand. It also offers to produce its coatings on a white-label basis (manufacturing agreement).
The UK company, established in 2000, manufactures a series of specialist coatings which are designed to be used in high temperature / extremely corrosive environments. Thanks to its expertise in polymer chemistry, it has been able to develop a range of products that last longer and are able to withstand extreme processes in areas where other coatings – such as fluoropolymers and phenolic epoxy coatings - fail. The coatings can be used anywhere where there is a potential corrosion / erosion risk. Typical application areas include: • chemical tanks • process vessels • heat exchangers • sour gas treating units • internal coating of pipework, pumps and valves • equipment operating from sub-ambient to high temperatures and suffering from CUI (Corrosion Under Insulation) such as insulated pipes / spools and process vessels. The product range includes coatings which offer temperature resistance from -70°C to +190° (374°F) immersed and +250°C (482°F) non-immersed and another which provides resistance up to +550°C. It also offers a broad range of chemical resistance including hydrogen and chlorides (i.e. salt laden environments), concentrated organic/mineral acids, alkalis and solvents. As well as developing and manufacturing coatings, the company also offers a complete maintenance solution to prevent corrosion, including; site survey, corrosion identification, coating specification, supervision of surface preparation and coating application, as well as post-application quality assurance and inspection. The client base includes major companies in the oil and gas industry, power sector (traditional and renewable), chemical industry, refineries, mining and other manufacturing sectors such as pulp and paper, sugar processing and pharmaceuticals. Already active in international markets such as the Middle East, USA and Canada, the company is keen to develop its export activity in European markets and in New Zealand (and Australia). It is therefore looking for experienced commercial agents, who would represent the company and promote its products in their appointed territory. Ideally, partners should be active in the chemicals / industrial coatings sector, but other related experience would be considered. The company is also open to the idea of concluding manufacturing agreements with companies who are interested in supplying its specialist coatings under their own label.
Type (e.g. company, R&D institution…), field of industry and Role of Partner Sought:
Partners will ideally be experienced agents, with knowledge of the industrial chemicals / coatings sector and excellent links into industries where the UK company’s products are typically used. Appointed agents would be expected to deal with all enquiries received within their territory and help conclude sales. Partners wishing to source the UK company’s products under a manufacturing agreement might be suppliers of other industrial coatings who are interested to extend their offer by adding the specialist anti-corrosion products to their range. This would be done on a white-label basis.
