Description: 
A Spanish technology center, funded in 1994, offers transversal, integrated and innovative solutions to companies to improve their processes, developments, systems and products. It operates in five economic sectors: i) industry, ii) energy and environment, iii) construction and infrastructure, iv) agro-food, and v) health and quality of life. Damage on existing buildings poses a wide-reaching problem. The rehabilitation and protection of buildings is essential, and a prevention measure that reduce significantly the risk of the effects caused by aging, humidity, local climate or human activities, among others. The well-conservation of buildings is in general critical in terms of safety, but also represent an important economical input for a country. For instead, in Europe and other worldwide locations, tourist linked to historic buildings accounts as a key sector for its economy. The technological center, with a broad experience in optimizing processes and techniques, has developed a method to early detect building damages, especially damage to the building envelope, using laser-scanning technologies. The technology center offers its methodologies and know-how to companies interested in: - evaluate and monitor the status of a building, - invest in monitoring and evaluation tools on the rehabilitation and conservation of buildings, - implement preventing measures at early stages, - analyze the main issues that damage historical buildings (including the building envelope), - invest in new methods that may add-value to the current ones. The partners sought are those companies, municipalities (historical heritage managers) and any entity responsible for the well conservation of buildings. The type of collaboration seeks is a technical cooperation agreement. The technology center is also interested in research cooperation agreement with entities (companies, universities or research and technology centers) interested in participated in EU funding programs in the area of cultural heritage.
