An Austrian SME developed a method for interior thermal insulation of buildings - is looking for distributors and investors

An Austrian company active in the area of thermal energy efficiency since 30 years, has developed an innovative method for the inside thermal restoration of old buildings – solving the condensate problem of interior insulation. In order to reach new markets, the company would like to establish distribution services and acquisition agreements. A financial agreement is also considered.
An Austrian family owned company active in the area of thermal energy efficiency, has developed an innovative method for the inside thermal restoration of buildings solving the condensate problem of interior insulation. Long-term practical experience was indispensable because it is an interdisciplinary solution. This made it essential for it to be launched on the market to a certain extent – even though sales was not part of the developer’s remit. This allowed him to 1.) prove the structural-physical safety for a wide variety of user preferences and 2.) create the prerequisite for an expansive marketing or the investment for it. Buildings can be insulated in two ways: from the inside and / or from the outside. Older buildings often cannot be insulated from the outside due to high-quality or historically-protected facades as exterior insulation would most likely change the appearance of these facades considerably. Therefore interior insulation is often the only feasible method for reducing heat loss from such structures. However, there is a drawback: the use of interior insulation always changes the moisture relationship of building components through the close interaction between heat and moisture. Therefore it is important for interior insulation systems to be able to cope with moisture that originates from inside – e.g. condensation. The innovation is based on the discovery of a new physical principle or rather on a multidisciplinary combination of two energy efficiency measures: one is the interior insulation itself. The other measure is a plaster layer that is temperature-variable by means of invisible integrated wall heating. This also covers the heat requirement of the room. The heat source is hot water central heating or an existing radiator which is replaced by the wall heating. Exterior wall surfaces of a room with windows can have a complicated geometry. Therefore a specialized pipe system was developed. This plastic-free branded pipe system has a very high quality and functional level. Special manufacturing capacities have been built up for this product. In terms of operations, customers are given interdisciplinary advice, a concept is going to be developed and the special quality wall heating technology will be delivered. This is the branded product and the longest proven technology in this field, which is also offered for acquisition. The technology is interdisciplinary: it includes thermal insulation, room heating as well as the solution of physical construction properties. Some 200 renovations of old buildings as well as 800 new buildings have been supplied with the branded product, all of which are running with the highest level of customer satisfaction and without any complaints. The technology is now perfected and verified. The Austrian company is looking for distribution partners and investors for internationalization. The type of cooperation envisaged by the company is a distribution service agreement and an acquisition agreement. A financial agreement is also of interest.

The partner could be active either in industry or sales. Moreover, the partner should have an affinity to at least one of the following subjects: re-development, central heating, preservation of cultural heritage, etc.
