Summary:
A fast growing, award winning British manufacturer of clinically proven, high quality pressure care products would like to partner with like-minded companies to grow its business in key international markets. It wants to appoint new distributors for its product range, which includes pressure reducing / relieving mattresses, cushions, hoists and slings. Partners should be experienced in the health and care markets. Manufacturing agreements on an OEM basis would also be considered.
Description:
The UK company specialises in the manufacture of a range of products for the relief of pressure / anti-decubitus ulcers. The products are manufactured to a high quality and are fully tested to European and British standards, as well as rigorously clinically evaluated. They include: • Award winning hybrid mattresses: The clinically proven hybrid mattress allows the use of a very high risk static, combined with alternating or static air systems, in order to suit patients’ needs. These registered designs allow the very best solutions for clinicians and carers alike. • Pressure reducing mattresses: Using the very latest Combustion Modified Ether (CME) foam technology, the mattress range includes products which incorporate various specialist features including pressure reducing “castellated” zones and high-frequency welded, vapour permeable and waterproof covers to ensure compliance with even the strictest of infection control protocols. These products are suitable for use in various settings including hospitals, healthcare and nursing environments. • Overlay mattresses: Using CME or high density, heat sensitive memory foam, these can be applied onto an existing mattress base, to offer some low to medium pressure reduction in a homecare, nursing or residential setting. They are offered with covers made from multi-stretch, vapour permeable fabric which can be sewn or high frequency welded. • Pressure reducing cushions: Manufactured using either CME or a combination of CME and memory foam, the cushion range is designed to provide very good pressure relieving qualities whilst also offering a high level of comfort to the user. • Dynamic / alternating products: The company also offers a range of highly specialised dynamic mattress replacement systems, several of which are fitted with digital pumps. These are targeted towards the assistive treatment of patients who have existing pressure sores. • Specialist mattress products: Additionally, there is a range for use in specific applications or environments, including trolley mattresses for A&E departments, a pressure relieving mattress for children, a birthing mattress and a range of products for bariatric care. • Hoists & Slings: The firm offers its own range of hoists and slings, which are manufactured with quality and patient safety in mind. All the products are manufactured in facilities which can ensure that they are made to the highest standards and which are accredited to ISO 9001, 14001 and 13485 standards. All carry appropriate CE marking. Already working in overseas markets, the company is now keen to develop the international side of its business and therefore seeks to appoint distribution partners in key markets for its innovative products. The company could also offer to collaborate under a manufacturing agreement on an OEM basis, so that the partner can offer its products under their own name and branding.
Type (e.g. company, R&D institution…), field of industry and Role of Partner Sought:
Partners should be distributors with experience and good contacts into the health and care sectors in their country. They would be expected to market and sell the UK company’s products, potentially alongside complementary products, and to work with the company to help develop its international presence and ensure mutual business growth. The UK company works exclusively with dealers and ideally wishes to have only one partner per country. It is also prepared to offer to manufacture its products for the partner on an OEM basis, so that the partner can add their own name and branding to its range. However, partners may prefer to use the UK firm’s brand so they have access to its independent clinical reports.
