Summary:

Description:
This Bulgarian private farmer founded in 1997 is a fourth-generation beekeeper and is located in the southwestern part of Shumen plateau. 550 species of higher plants find a favorable environment for growing in the region. Of these, 64 species are included in the Red book of Bulgaria, and over 100 species are medicinal plants. The apiary is situated in a region where mixed deciduous forests predominate. Hornbeam, beech, oak, maple, ash, linden and other tree species coexist here. In and around the apiary grow acacia, flower meadows and shrubs. There is no conventional agriculture or pesticide use in this region. In the spring bloom cornelian cherry, hawthorn and blackberries, snowdrops, crocuses, violets, wild strawberries, thyme, mint, rose hips, yarrow, lavender, nettle and lemongrass. All these medicinal plants and trees offer the best conditions for bees to collect the best possible honey. The honey that is offered is polyfloral, obtained from the nectar of many simultaneously flowering honey plants, it is raw and unprocessed honey. This means that it is directly removed from the hives and is not subjected to any heat or other treatment. Because of this the honey retains its antibacterial properties, antioxidants and the activity of its enzymes and is without any impurities or homogenization. It contains the most viral vitamins and minerals, including magnesium, calcium, vitamin B12 and folic acid and very fine, almost imperceptible pollen particles, and bee pollen is known to be a very good immunostimulant. This Bulgarian beekeeper is organic certified since 2016. The amount of honey for one season is approximately 1500 kg. The honey is offered in jars - 100 gr., 130 gr., 300 gr., 500 gr, 700 gr. and 1000 gr. and in big tin cans each one 25 kg. In 2013 and 2014 the company regularly exported conventional honey to Germany.
