A Greek company active in the field of thermal imaging has designed and developed a camera that is able to detect Foreign Object Debris (FODs) in the landing and take-off runways of airports. The removal of such objects is a major challenge for the safety of airports in order to avoid serious incidents. The device is able to function both during day and night. It may be installed in the special cars, which inspect the runways of airport. The system has proven to be effective even when those cars run at a high speed, reaching 80 km/h. It has also been tested in multiple cases both in Greece and abroad. The company is interested in collaboration with companies active in the field of electronic equipment for aircrafts. It is also open for collaboration with airports which are interested directly to install the system. In both cases under commercial agreement with technical assistance.
