Description:
The Chinese poultry research institute was founded in 1978 on the basis of a local agricultural sciences & animal experimental farm. It covers an area of more than 10 thousand square meters with fixed assets of about RMB 30 million. As a public service research institution, it covers all poultry research fields involving poultry genetics and breeding, poultry disease diagnostics and immunology, feed nutrition, environment control, novel veterinary medicine, specific valuable animals, specific pathogen-free chickens, poultry information service management, and treatment of livestock and poultry manure etc.
The institute has 20 professors and 15 associate professors. 31 scientists have got PhD degree. The institute has six provincial R&D platforms, including provincial Key Laboratory of Poultry Disease Diagnostics and Immunology, Poultry Disease Test Center, Poultry Breeding Centre, Feed Additive Experimental Base, Severe Poultry Disease Reference Serum Bank and provincial poultry information service system. It has two publications about poultry science and waterfowl world. Up to now, the institute has achieved more than 30 scientific and technological honors or awards from national and provincial government in China.
It keeps long and tight exchanges and cooperation with international institutes and universities from the USA, Russia and South Korea focused on poultry industry R&D and development. In order to develop much wider international cooperation relations and promote China-Europe poultry industry cooperation, it is looking for experts in poultry industry from Europe via a technical cooperation agreement.
The institute can provide much competitive scientific research funding and annual salaries for potential European experts together with housing support and other welfare benefits.

Potential European poultry industry experts should have obtained a PhD degree overseas. The Chinese institute prefers a technical cooperation agreement, but other cooperation method also could be in consideration.

Besides the poultry area R&D work, potential European poultry industry experts also will be expected to participate in some joint applications for Chinese national and provincial international cooperation projects.
