A cooperative from the Azores, producer of regional food and beverages, seeks partners to sign distribution services agreement

This cooperative was founded in 1998 in the Azores. UNESCO designated the Azores a Biosphere Reserve in 2009 for their impeccable preservation. This means that these areas of eco-systems (land or coastal) promote solutions to conciliate biodiversity and its sustainable usage. The company cooperates with about 133 food producers. The food products are handmade with local agriculture and prepared using traditional knowledge: biscuits (butter, cream, homemade, chocolate, beer), jams (blackberry, pineapple, pear, tomato, fig, apple) and liqueurs (tangerine, tomato, coffee, cinnamon, milk, blackberry, tea, passion fruit, loquat fruit). These products are free from artificial flavours and preservatives. The cooperative already won several medals in the National Contest of Convent and Traditional Portuguese Liqueurs: in 2016, the Tangerine Liqueur was awarded with the Gold Medal; in 2017, the Milk Liqueur was awarded with the Silver Medal; in 2018, the Coffee Liqueur was awarded with the Gold Medal. These awards support the Azores as a great place for making exceptional food and beverages. It seeks distributors in retail trade and specialty shops that have the knowledge to introduce these products in their markets. Through this type of partnership, the cooperative wishes to establish a long-term commitment in new markets and expand its business, as well as to give the opportunity for potential partners to increase their range of products.
