Summary:
A Danish company offers streamlined computer numerical control (CNC) production of complex, precision components as well as a separate production with ultra-high precision. They have their own assembly facilities, cleanroom, and a network of subcontractors. The company has built up a strong portfolio within the medical, dental, gas and oil, and other highly regulated industries and is looking to expand into new markets via subcontracting agreements.
Description:
The Danish company was established in 1994 by the current owner and CEO and is specialised in offering streamlined CNC production of complex, precision components, as well as having a separate production with ultra-high precision. It is a system supplier with assembly facilities and a large network of subcontractors. Their current customers are located in Scandinavia, Germany, Estonia, the Czech Republic, and Malta, and customers are usually original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and first-tier suppliers from within the industrial laboratory, defense and surveillance systems, optical and measurement, medical and dental sectors, as well as technical solutions providers within the marine, oil, and gas industries. In their 5000 m2 production area, the company manufactures parts based on customers' drawings. They have a machine park of ca. 30 CNC machines and 37 employees, working in two shifts. They offer: - Work on lathe machines, 5 axis milling, and turning centers, robotised cells, and measure optically and in 3D - Turning of parts from diameter 0.2 mm- 150 mm - Milling of parts from 3 x 3 mm to 1250 x 500 mm from a block, bar, casting, or from a welded unit - Production of micro parts that are smaller than 1 mm - Assembly of group components consisting of 2-50 elements in one unit - Processing of all materials from polyoxymethylene (POM) plastic components, to stainless steel and titanium including all surface treatment types and welding - Optimal series production from 50 - 200 or 1000 - 5000 pieces, depending on the type of part - Complicated parts with tight tolerances driving the production to technically defining solutions - Parts with high surface quality criteria due to the need for visual and functional perfection - Standard parts with a high demand for production reliability and on-time delivery. All processes are systematically planned, which - combined with state-of-the-art production equipment and the specialist staff – guarantees a high-quality serial production of items with a high level of complexity. All manufactured parts are cleaned in an industrial vacuum and alcohol-based washing facility, packaged and prepared for safe transport. Parts produced based on a kanban (lean system), frame agreements or annual agreements are stored in the company's warehouse and ready for expedition within 5 days. The company has a separate production facility for "medical device" components, for manufacturing items with specific requirements and documented purity value. It, therefore, offers delivery of components that are processed and packaged in a cleanroom environment to be used directly in hospital and laboratory equipment, surgical instruments, and implants for dental and orthopedic surgery. Since 2015 the Danish company produces also simple parts, which are outsourced from a small tested supplier network in the Czech Republic and Poland, and controlled from their office in Prague. The company is looking for a long-term subcontracting agreement, where they can work over a longer period with a manufacturer needing precision production, reaching a joint turnover of € 1-2 million in the upcoming years. The desired cooperation should utilise the company's accumulated knowledge about medical, dental, gas and oil, and other highly regulated industries. Of particular interest are OEM companies with limited or no CNC milling and turning facilities, companies with the need for a high precision subcontractor, fine mechanics and assembly, pre-serial prototyping, and launch of serial production.
Type (e.g. company, R&D institution…), field of industry and Role of Partner Sought:
The Danish company seeks production companies needing very high quality, technical components, across the Nordic countries, Benelux, Austria, and Estonia. The customers benefiting most from the cooperation are usually companies with up to 1000 employees, OEM with limited own production, and working with the sourcing of precision mechanics. Additional potential customers are tier 1 suppliers, who work directly with OEM companies. The partner should be operating in highly regulated sectors such as medical, dental, oil and gas, defense, marine, air and space, and high-end general machinery and optics.
