A Danish glassblowing studio from the rocky island of Bornholm, has been producing high-end utility glass for decoration and table settings. The style is elegant, simple and has a clean Scandinavian tone. The company offers mouth blown glass to distributors who would like to represent quality and professional craftsmanship.
The Danish glassblowing studio was established in 1981 on the small island of Bornholm and has been led for almost 40 years by a husband and wife team. The couple have an American and Danish background and were inspired by nature in their designs. The Danish Queen has art pieces from the glass studio at her castle in Marselisborg and the couple’s work and art pieces have been exhibited at glass museums all over the world. Today they produce mouth blown tableware and decorative vases along with a range of unique art pieces. The Danish glassblowing studio offers a range of elegant and simple utility glass for any occasion. Throughout its lifetime, the company has been true to its DNA, focusing on the individual details of each glass piece - and not on changing trends. The Danish island Bornholm was given the title of World Craft Region, because of their high-quality standards concerning craftsmanship and design – a title the company is very proud of, and inspired by, every day. For years some of their designs are mouth blown by strategic partners in Europe. This collaboration is highly valued, and it is ensured, that the quality lives up to the highest standards. The creative centre on Bornholm focuses on developing new collections and continuing to inspire consumers and the 75.000 people who visit the glassblower studio and gallery on Bornholm every year. Back in 2020 the company changed ownership as it was sold from one family business to another family business. The new owners have recognised that the company has international potential, and as a step in expanding the brand across borders, are now looking for distributors with experience in high end brands and / or Scandinavian design. With a background in retail, the team behind the company know the importance of good teamwork, and that all markets are different. They are therefore looking for people who are experts in their field and respective country. The potential partners can expect to be a part of a dedicated team, which values partnerships and open communication highly.
