Description: 
Spanish technology centre, funded in 1994, offers transversal, integrated and innovative solutions to companies to improve their developments, processes, systems and products. It operates in five economic sectors: i) industry, ii) energy and environment, iii) construction and infrastructure, iv) agro-food, and v) health and quality of life. Spray drying is well-known method which comprises the transformation of fluid products into dried particles. The spray drying process results in products that meet high quality standards. Lyophilisation is a method based on the sublimation of water that passes directly from the solid state to the gaseous without passing through the liquid state. Both techniques are well-known and are optimized for industrial process. In particular, the research centre offers its expertise to scale up the process keeping the high quality standards of the final products providing the optimal technical drying conditions at laboratory and pilot scales. The Spanish technology centre has broad experience in optimising the implementation of production processes at both, lab and pilot scale. The technology offered is a protocol that can be adapted to the characteristics process within the agro-food, cosmetics and the pharmaceutical sectors. The technology centre offers its expertise and know-how to agro-food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical companies interested in: - Use a system totally customized to their needs and production process. - Improve their production standards and the final products. - Improve their trademark image. Partners sought are companies in the agro-food, cosmetics and the pharmaceutical sectors (but open to other sectors) that works with natural products for commercial agreement with technical assistance. The technology centre is also interested in research cooperation agreements with entities (companies, universities or research and technology centres) interested in developing a project about revalorisation of by-products or developing new products for future calls in EU funding programs.
