This technology request is an innovation challenge and is published on an open innovation platform.
Description:
A Dutch insurance company, both active in insurance products as well as pension funding products for the private market, has chosen to digitize the current communication tools from physical post to a digital personalized account for their customer. Current email address penetration is around 30% of their 2,5 million customer database. Like many other companies, this company is facing the enormous digital transition challenge. Technology enables them to communicate more relevant information quicker, more cost-effectively and in an environmentally responsible way. However the majority of customers still receive information regarding their insurance policy and pension via physical post. This information is already available in an online personal account but customers can't be digitally informed that new information is available due to lack of email addresses and permission to communicate digitally (legal requirement). The company has limited contact with customers and would like to increase both frequency and value of contact. They know that customers want to hear more from them (Net Promotor Score research), not only about the policy itself, but also tips, advice and relevant articles. The company is open to new ideas for generating email addresses in a cost effective and efficient way and with respect to the strict (legal) guidelines e.g. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Dutch finance authorities The Dutch Bank (DNB) / Authorities Financial Markets (AFM) The company is interested in meeting new dynamic companies that are able to assist in this digital transformation process with solutions, products and knowledge. The company may be interested in long term co-operation with technical assistance or license agreement. This technology request is an innovation challenge and is published on an open innovation platform until the 25th of November 2018. If an organisation does express interest in cooperation with this firm before that date, it will be guided towards this open innovation platform on which one can get in touch via a chat function with the company. Mind that posts on this platform are not confidential. Beside open discussions on the platform, sharing of confidential information will be made possible on demand. After that, the firm will select the SMEs with whom they would like to cooperate in the development of a solution. Once the challenge is closed, EOI's for this technology request will be treated in the traditional way.
