Summary:
A Slovak institute has developed new recipes of electrically conductive composites with the matrix of either polyolefins or vulcanised rubber with electrical conductivity up to 1000 S/m (siemens per meter). It can be used in aggressive and corrosive environments, e.g. electrodes, anti-static parts, electrical joints of complicated shape, etc. Supply, expertise and advisory services are offered on partner's site, under a commercial agreement with technical assistance or license agreement.
Description:
At the beginning of its existence, this Slovak institute initiated the focused research in polymer chemistry. Currently, this institute represents an important research and training center for basic and applied research in the contemporary topics of polymer chemistry. The institute activities cover four areas: synthesis and characterization, composite polymeric materials, polymeric biomaterials and molecular simulation of polymers. New recipes of electrically conductive composites with the matrix of either polyolefins or vulcanised rubber containing carbon based micro- and nano-fillers with electrical conductivity up to 1000 S/m developed by this institute have a possibility for production of the material with good workability for current-conductive parts used in aggressive and corrosive environments, e.g. electrodes, anti-static parts, electrical joints of complicated shape, vapour sensors, etc. This technology could be used in: - Manufacturing - Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply - Construction - Transportation and storage, automotive The institute is looking for partners to cooperate with via license agreement or via commercial agreement with technical assistance. These two cooperation types were selected because they fit the needs of this institute regarding this technology in a very best way. The institute is looking for partners who could commercialize, apply and use this technology.
