A Finnish SME, established in 2011, is offering packaging as a service. The company cooperates with major retail and consumer good brands and the main market area is Europe. The company's target is to reduce the amount of packaging waste.
When the company is currently scaling their operations up, they require new bag manufacturers in Europe to reduce lead times and costs.
The product is a plastic mailer bag of own design by the Finnish SME, but cooperation is expected in finalising the design for the production. There are three different sizes, the smallest is 35 x 25 x 10 cm and the biggest is 68 x 35 x 22 cm.
The company is searching for a cost effective and reliable plastic mailer bag manufacturer for their production partner. The manufacturing lead times should be reasonable and the unit price should be lowered, and the company is expecting an automatic manufacturing method to avoid manual sewing.
Material expertise and handling of polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET), woven/nonwoven, lamination and printing is required as well as seam welding and sewing. Printing capability is expected also.

The material at the moment is 100+20 g/m2 (PP, laminated, woven) but the company is open to other materials also. Recycled material is a priority. The design must be finalised according to production requirements in co-operation.
There are three different sizes of the bags:
S: 0 to 6 litres, 35 x 25 x 10 cm
M: 6 to 21 litres, 60 x 35 x 16 cm
L: 20 to 45 litres, 68 x 35 x 22 cm.
The order quantities are around 50 000 -100 000 pcs per order. At the moment it is expected orders 2-3 times a year, but the frequency is expected to go up.
