Summary:
A German company has designed an electrothermal station including a controller for converting excess current produced by a photovoltaic system into heat. The station contains all the vital hydraulic components and can be retrofitted into all heating and domestic hot water systems. CO2 emissions and heating costs are reduced. Partners for a commercial agency or distribution services agreement are sought.
Description:
A German company has designed an electrothermal station especially for using excess power produced by photovoltaic systems. The measuring device reliably detects excess current and the integrated controller redirects it to a steplessly variable electric heater for heating a water store. Thus, excess power can be stored as regenerative heat. Internal consumption can be increased while decreasing conventional heating costs. The intelligent control ensures an optimum store stratification so that even small amounts of excess power can be reliably converted into heat and power fluctuations can be balanced out. The controller becomes the missing link between the photovoltaic system and the heat generator. Characteristics are: ■ Intelligent control technology for optimum store stratification ■ Converts excess PV (photovoltaic) current into heat and stores it for later use ■ Integrated electric heater of up to 3 kW, steplessly variable and grid compliant- integrated electric heater is controlled very precisely and steeplessly variable ■ Easy to install and can be retrofitted into all heating and domestic hotwater systems, independend from the manufacturer of the existing system ■ integrated high-efficiency pump ■ Safety temperature limiter The company is looking for partners from the energy sector to implement the technology within a commercial agency or distribution services agreement. The German company will give technical support to implement the technology in already existing or new domestic hotwater systems, photovoltaic and solar energy.
Type (e.g. company, R&D institution…), field of industry and Role of Partner Sought:
The company is looking for a commercial agency and distribution services agreement with companies working in the classic or renewable energy area. The partner should have a network in the sector and possibilties for installation. Partners could be craft, installers of energy solution and heating, construction, etc. The German company offers technical support to implement the technology in already existing or new domestic hotwater systems, photovoltaic and solar energy systems.
