The air is forced through a wetted ceramic substrate where the pollution is adsorbed. The living organisms inhabit and the pollution is degraded via the means of bioremediation. The produced air is humid which significantly improves the air quality in the heating season. Plants improve the room visually, and create a comfortable living space due to the principle of biophilic design. The device is an automated system that only needs upkeep once a month. Air is forced through the system continuously during the working day. Water is provided via a connection to the buildings water supply, it is then filtered and recirculated. Lighting is automated and chosen according to the plant needs. Plants are pruned and the system cleaned and fertilized once a month by a specialized crew. Design of the device can be customized according to the clients wishes due to assortment of suitable plants and external panels. The duration and colour temperature of the lights can be chosen from multiple settings which include a circadian rhythm that simulates the passing of the day.
