A young woman founded in 2015 a confectionery business in the north-eastern part of Sicily, retracing the footsteps of her ancestors that have cultivated these lands with citrus groves since the middle of the Nineteenth century. In the 5 hectares lands are cultivated different varieties of citrus: lemons, vanilla oranges, tarot oranges, valencia oranges, red and oval oranges, common and nova clementines, pink grapefruits, cedars and late tangerines. The citrus groves are cultivated following the highest biological standards, with a deep respect of the environment and its seasonal cycles. The area benefits from a peculiar microclimate characterized by a constant sea breeze coming from the nearby Ionian Sea and the humidity of the stream that flows along the land. With their small production the company produces handmade citrus marmalades (ancient recipes) and shortbread biscuits with extra virgin olive oil and essential citrus oils. The marmalades are made with the pulp and peels of the fresh citrus fruits, sugar and nothing more. The ingredients of the biscuits are all natural and of high quality, including extra virgin olive oil, fresh eggs and precious 100% natural and made in Sicily citrus essential oils. The "leaves", in the flavors of lemon, orange and mandarin, are the ideal biscuit to accompany a good tea or a glass of sweet wine. When the package is opened it releases immediately an intense citrus scent that tastes so much of Sicily. The marmalades can be sold in confections of 100gr or 230 grams. The “leaves” are sold in 200gr packs. The company boasts an extra chic packaging in Sicilian Style, coming from a vintage inspiration with pastel colors.
