Summary:
Italian start-up is looking for industrial partners interested in signing a technical cooperation agreement to exploit their new technology that combines different materials and allows the creation, from textile wastes, of a new upcycling material that can be employed in other sectors. The start-up is also interested in joint participation in EU research projects.
Description:
One of the major problems in the textile industry is the production and treatment of wastes. Textile companies are therefore looking for solutions to recycle the wastes they produce. This Italian start-up can provide such solutions, thanks to the competence of its staff and to a new, innovative and unique technology, currently patent pending. The start-up is an R&D company that was founded by three experts: a textile company entrepreneur, and two LCA and environmental sustainibility consultants. This new technology combines different materials and allows the creation, from textile wastes, of a new upcycling material that can be employed in other sectors, (eg. Agricolture, building sector, industrial filters, semiconductor industry). The start-up can also grant – in collaboration with other companies - the organization and management of the collection points for wastes, without production of further wastes and therefore granting maximum circularity. The start-up is now patenting this technology, afterwards their intention is to exploit the patent in two possible ways: royalties from companies using it or becoming partner in industrial development. The ideal partner is a manufacturing company of textiles, paper, ceramics, polyester or poliurethane materials, producing wastes, wishing to find a solution to convert this waste into an upcycling material with a higher economic value, to sign a technical cooperation agreement. The start-up would also like to start cooperation with companies producing wastes and companies treating wastes for a research cooperation agreement.
Type (e.g. company, R&D institution…), field of industry and Role of Partner Sought:
