Description: 
As house reconstruction is worth a big budget, rather than reconstructing houses or buildings, people chose to remodel old building. This trend has caused an expansion in remodelling market by 4% annually according to the market research report in 2018. Along with this trend, a Korean company has developed compact-sized construction robotic device for indoor construction work. This device has several innovation aspects to solve current indoor construction devices’ problems as follows; 1) For remodelling of high-rise building, 1 ton class equipment are too big and heavy to move by elevators. Also, craning or stair climbing is expansive - The developed device is about 750kg in weight, and has a modular design that allows transport via 11-person elevator. Even, the track modules can be dissembled and this allows using even a smaller elevator. 2) Small excavators don’t have a compact linkage; therefore, it is hard to use in a small indoor worksite. Also, the attachments for the excavator are not specialized for breaking walls and ceilings. - The developed device has a three-link attachment that can be folded to be compact. It has a quick coupler to easily link with diverse indoor power tools designed for indoor remodelling work. 3) Most excavators use diesel engines that produce gas and noise unfavourably affecting operators’ health. Moreover, operator on the seat is exposed to dust, debris, and accidents due to possible collapse. - The developed device is remotely controlled and electrically powered. It also has proximity sensors and a 6-dof gyro sensor that stops automatically when there are objects or people in the way For better safety in operation, this device has a pressure sensor to adjust a motor RPM (Revolutions per Minutes) automatically for idling as well as the end-stroke relief pressure for battery power saving. Moreover, the operator can input up to 6 work patterns for short and simple repeating works. When having trouble using the device, the Korean company can support remotely by a telematic system for monitoring and maintenance. This Korean company also plans to provide a suitable device for maintenance and repairment in extreme environments such as dams, reservoir waterways, sewage pipes (over 1.2m height), and industrial furnaces. The Korean company is now looking for a distributor or commercial agent in construction, remodelling, interior design or any relevant industry in the European market to sell its compact construction device under commercial agency agreement or distributor agreement.
