Summary:
This Maltese company has developed a range of industrial grade tap, brackish and seawater skid-mounted RO systems and GRP cartridge filter vessels for use as pre-treatment in large seawater reverse osmosis plants. They are seeking agents or distributors with contacts in water treatment applications in Europe and Africa - to help sell their products via a commercial agency or distribution service agreements.
Description:
The Maltese company specializes in industrial seawater filtration for membrane desalination and RO desalination to achieve potable water. The company provides a complete range of light and heavy industrial RO desalination systems with standard capacities ranging from 0.5 to 250cu-m/day. The RO system capacities for the industrial market are based on feed water with a total dissolved solid ( TDS) content of <1500mg/l and a recovery of 60% to 80%. Capacity and system recovery are both dependent on the feed water quality. There may be situations where a water softener or anti-scalant chemical injection may be required before the RO system as part of the pre-treatment. The company can design and set up a system that delivers what is required by the specific industry with the available feed water. The systems can also be adapted for 2 pass operation for very low TDS/conductivity water. The seawater RO systems have standard capacities ranging from 75cu-m/day to 230cu-m/day for seawater with a salinity of less than 39,000mg/l. Typical operating conditions are a feed pressure of 55-65 bar, temperature ranges of 5-30℃ and feed pH of 4-8. Positive displacement pumps and energy pressure exchangers are used for very low specific energy. The GRP cartridge filter vessels are designed with nominal flows of up to 560cu-m/hr and come with a removable basket to allow easy and rapid filter replacement. The range of the GRP cartridge filter vessels is extensive with the largest capacity vessel holding 141 X 50” elements. The company already sells these systems mainly in the Caribbean. The company is seeking international partners for commercial agency or distribution service agreements in Europe and Africa.
