Description:
A German start-up company is specialised in information retrieval from unstructured data. Hereby it is focused on making information from different data silos available from one central platform. It uses different technologies such as advanced natural language processing, deep learning and computer vision to search documents and data bases (internal + external) intelligently. The technology enables the start ups customers to not only search classical documents with a semantic understanding but also to search through scanned documents with OCR (optical character recognition). First experiences with the intelligent search of untagged pictures is also available. The SME has developed a new enterprise search engine. It is characterised by its easy usability and little administrative effort. On the other hand, it enriches search queries and is able to understand the semantic meaning of different queries. The information that is to be searched is mapped into a vector space and searches in the vector space. This makes it possible to search for knowledge and information based only on semantic meaning and context, regardless of the words or language chosen. This way up to 100 languages can be supported. Furthermore, the use of customerspecific language models enables their software also to find industry specific technical terms. Partners are sought for commercial agreements with technical assistance, joint venture, technical cooperation or license agreement. Partners could be large companies, IT companies, research organisations, software companies, companies working with different data sources. Various types of cooperation are possible, e.g.commercial agreements with technical assistance where the partner is an end-user, co-developing new features with the start-up, or licensing the technology. It could be a company integrating this technology in their portfolio with the assistance of the start-up. Development of new features could be implemented on a project basis within a joint venture as well as within a technical cooperation where both partners benefit.
