Summary:
Slovenian researchers developed a simple and reliable application for cold atmospheric plasmas, which enables surface treatments of almost all conventional materials, including metals, ceramics, glass, polymer and bio-based materials. Researchers are searching partners active on the field of industrial and household equipment for cleaning or pretreatment of surfaces in various applications to sign license agreement and or research cooperation agreement in EU and beyond.
Description:
Plasma discharges are an energy-efficient and environmentally friendly technology for cleaning, disinfection, pre-treatment, and functionalization of surfaces. This technology does not require chemicals; only in some applications, cover gases are used. The Plasma swing technology uses a mechanically responsive system to ensure and maintain correct working distances, as it automatically adapts to changing dimensions and geometries of work pieces. This way, it eliminates the need for elaborate electronic regulation. The technology can be used on almost all conventional materials, including metals, ceramics, glass, polymer or bio-based materials. Applications reach from disinfection to coating, gluing, forming composites and many more. Researchers are seeking partners active on the field of industrial and household equipment for cleaning or pretreatment of surfaces in various applications to sign license and or research cooperation agreement.
