Portuguese company active in processing and exporting fish (fresh and frozen) seeks distributors

Portuguese company with 40 years of experience in marketing, processing, importing and exporting of fresh and frozen fish, crustaceans and molluscs is looking for distributors in EU and non-EU countries. It is one of the largest fish trading companies in the Azores. Fish, as well as other products, is preserved through the cooling method, i.e., fish and ice are stored in alternating layers so that one fish does not touch another, nor the containers’ walls. Furthermore, during transport the fish nutritional quality is preserved. The company’s fleet is accredited according to European standards. Fish is transported in different sized single use polystyrene packaging or in plastic containers with smooth, resistant and non-absorbent internal surfaces that can be reused after being cleaned and disinfected. Thus, the fish is properly handled and carried, arriving fresh to the markets with the quality that the company has already achieved among its customers. The products include greater forkbeards, tuna, barracudas, shrimps, slipper lobsters, acorn barnacles, European congers, groupers, lobsters, limpets, squids, swordfishes, octopus, rays, sea basses, salmons, spider crabs, edible crabs, monkfishes and others. The company is already engaged in international cooperation, exporting around 75-80% of its products. The potential European partners or non-European partners, i.e., distributors, should have the experience and the right channels to introduce these products on the retail trade and wholesale market.
