Portuguese producer of Azorean food products is looking for distributors

This Portuguese based family company established in 1986 (in the Azores) is specialized in manufacturing, processing, preserving and packaging food products, as well as wholesale trade. Products are free from preservatives or pesticides. Company's assortment includes: pumpkins;multi-flower honey; safflower (made from safflower flowers); different types of chili pepper (salted, in vinegar, minced, in olive oil, in brine and sauce); lupins. Multi-flower honey is a “complete” honey because it is obtained from the nectar of several plant species, combining their therapeutic power. That is why it is richer in vitamins and minerals than single-flower honey. It has a bactericidal effect and is often incorporated in combating anaemia and allergies. Frequent consumption aids in heart, stomach and intestinal ailments, boosts the immune system, lowers cholesterol, induces sleep and treats hair fall issues. Additionally, it has a nourishing effect on the skin – it is a natural moisturizer – and treats acne and sunburn. Multi-flower honey is mild in flavour, and therefore can be consumed by adults and children alike, as a natural alternative to sugars and sweeteners. It ranges in colour from light to dark brown. One of the company’s specialties, the safflower, is produced from the plant’s flowers and not from its seeds, like saffron. The flowers are left in the sun to dry and then are crushed to be used in food (as a spice).
