Summary:
An independent inventor, based in the West Region of Romania, designed and tested a jigsaw puzzle-type interactive game supporting the education of pre-school children. In order to produce and commercialize the game, he is looking for partner companies in the toy sector, targeting a licensing agreement or a manufacturing agreement.
Description:
The inventor has developed a jigsaw puzzle game that consists of pieces with different shapes and sizes. After the image is put together, the pieces can be pressed to make sounds and lights associated to the image on the piece. The game is addressed to children aged between 1 and 5 years. The pictures on the puzzle can be about musical notes, vehicles (planes; fire-fighter, police or race cars, etc), domestic or wild animals, letters of the alphabet, numbers or any other image suitable for children. Compared to other sound puzzle games that make a specific sound only when the pieces are placed in the right slot on the game board, the proposed game is a true jigsaw puzzle that gives the child the possibility to listen to the sounds at any time, by pressing the right jigsaw puzzle pieces on the game board. Thus, the game is more educational as the sound can be triggered on the game board, without removing / replacing the pieces. Therefore, the game is more attractive and interactive, developing the children ability of matching, associating, listening and learning. A working prototype of a jigsaw puzzle with farm animal sounds is presented in the attached file. The Romanian inventor is looking for a partner company in toy sector that will produce and sell the game under a licencing agreement or manufacturing agreement.
Type (e.g. company, R&D institution…), field of industry and Role of Partner Sought:
The targeted partner is any company specialized in toy sector. The partnership is envisaged as a licensing agreement or a manufacturing agreement depending on the particular circumstances: - For a licensing agreement, the inventor will transfer the license to the partner who will then manufacture and sell the game. - For a manufacturing agreement, the inventor will keep the license and will cooperate with the partner who will manufacture and sell the game.
