Romanian manufacturer of special plates made from reclaimed old wood is looking for agents

A creative young entrepreneur from Transylvania, fascinated by wood’s natural imperfections, set-up in 2017 a Romanian SME to manufacture unique wooden pieces from old reclaimed wood. The Romanian SME transforms the reclaimed wood into various circular or rectangular plates to be used for both ceremonial and decorative purposes. The wood to be used/ transformed into plates comes from sawmills, wood pieces from old peasant houses, farm annexes or old cottages etc. The old wood material is not changed in any way before being ‘reclaimed’, the Romanian SME is only performing cleaning processes (making sure that no species of fungus or other factors affect the wood e.g. causing it to rot) and then sealing the wood. The Romanian SME combines old wood with modern materials (epoxy raisin and pigments) and applies creative process, such as controlled burning with (pause) electrical current, revealing modern new appearance wooden plates to be used in interior design by individuals or companies. The Romanian plates made from reclaimed old wood are not only a piece of wood, but they are also telling a story and prove their functionality, combining the reclaiming process with day by day activities. As the old wood has its own natural imperfections, the Romanian company is preserving most of its natural appearance, therefore, offering unique wooden plates, which are already sold to individuals and companies on the internal market.
