The company has developed a procedure to print molds for thermoforming. In this way, the process of development of thermoforming molds is made more efficient since it allows fast (within 24h) and cost-effective changes. In thermoforming, a plastic sheet is heated to a pliable forming temperature, formed to a specific shape in a mold, and trimmed to create a usable product - by making 3d printed molds this can be done cheaper and cleaner since the process does not require computer numerical control (CNC) cutting.
