Description:
A Serbian SME is active in the scientific field of mechanical engineering and especially in the development of specialised 3d printing tools. They produce 3D printers, packs, and spare parts, as well as printing services on behalf of clients, training in how to use the equipment, professional software and other services. The company has developed a procedure to print molds for thermoforming. In this way, the process of development of thermoforming molds is made more efficient since it allows fast (within 24h) and cost-effective changes. In thermoforming, a plastic sheet is heated to a pliable forming temperature, formed to a specific shape in a mold, and trimmed to create a usable product - by making 3d printed molds this can be done cheaper and cleaner since the process does not require computer numerical control (CNC) cutting. They offer printers for molds in the following dimensions (LxWxH, in meters): 1.2x0.9x0.2, 1.5x1.2x0.2, and 1x0.7x0.2. The final thermoformed products could be used as signs, advertisements, in construction, models, or components of models, casings, covers and if made of transparent plastics as illuminated signs. Since technology is fast and cost-effective it could be used also to produce a single object, a small series or to test an idea in the design process. The company produces also other customised 3D printers, as well as packs, provides spare parts, and training in how to use the equipment and professional software. They realized several domestic projects on the topic of additive technologies. The principal motive for the Serbian company is the implementation and optimization of applied research leading to added value production of components. To fulfil this aim, the Serbian SME pursues the latest developments in prototyping, it acts as a distributor of major 3d printer brands and printer components in Serbia, and it runs 3d printing studio. The company is also a distributor of 3d printing equipment in Serbia and provides printing services to business customers. The company is looking for partners in different countries, mainly focused on Europe, who have experience of working with 3d printing in the industrial, construction, architecture, marketing, and interior decoration sectors and wish to build an exclusive agreement within their own geographical regions under either distribution or commercial agency agreements.
Type (e.g. company, R&D institution…), field of industry and Role of Partner Sought:
