Summary:
A Korean Company is currently looking for partners companies possessing technologies to extract crude protein from *hydrolysates of pigs' membrane for high filtration rates to meet local standards of sewage treatment. The firm is seeking for partner companies that can cooperate under license agreements.
Description:
A Korean company, established in 2012, is specialized in the field of biochemical. They have succeeded in extracting crude heparin, which is a representative blood anticoagulant component used for blood coagulation and blood clot prevention, for the first time in the country. The Korean SME is currently looking for partners who have technologies to retrieve crude protein from *hydrolysates of pigs' membranes. The area where the company is located requires a higher filtration rate with wastewater treatment system than other cities in Korea because it has been designated as an agricultural-friendly city. In the primary processing of by-products, the recovery of proteins results in wastewater that meets the local wastewater treatment standards, as long as salt is filtered out of the secondary phase. If so, the company is planning to use this technology for determining the suitability of irrigation water in agricultural-friendly areas Therefore, the Korean firm is looking for technical advice from partner companies that possesses technologies to aggregate proteins, or companies that have experience in applying recovery technology using ion-exchange resins to the feed industry under license agreements. *Hydrolysate: Hydrolysate refers to any product of hydrolysis. Protein hydrolysate has special application in sports medicine because its consumption allows amino acids to be absorbed by the body more rapidly than intact proteins, thus maximizing nutrient delivery to muscle tissues. It is also used in the biotechnology industry as a supplement to cell cultures.
Type (e.g. company, R&D institution…), field of industry and Role of Partner Sought:
The Korean SME is wishing to cooperate with overseas enterprises with technical knowledge of protein extracting technology. The company is looking for partners who can share their technologies and know-hows under license agreements. Also, the Korean company seeks partners that are capable in instant responses in order to achieve the continuous maintenance of wastewater purification facilities, and guarantee wastewater properties. They prefer companies that has experience in this field.
Technical Specification or Expertise Sought:
The Korean SME is looking for partners under three conditions following: 1) Companies that have industrial technology: recovering crude protein from *hydrolyzed materials such as by-products of livestock. 2) Companies that have experience in applying recovery technologies using aggregation or ion-exchange resins among intestinal membrane *hydrolysates ingredients to the feed industry for utilizing them as protein sources for feeding wears(baby pigs) or pets. Or, companies that have experienced transferring similar technologies would also be desirable. The final recovered protein should meet the conditions below: 1. Lysine: 3.6% or more 2. Volatile basic nitrogen: 0.5% or less 3. Curde protine: 15% or more 4. Crude ash: 10% or less 5. Pepsin digestion rate: 99%
