Description:
Located in the city of Valencia (Spain), the association is a non-profit organization that has approximately 20,000 members. Founded in 1977, currently has around 60 workers and more than 230 local delegations around the Valencian Community, whose main purpose is to offer its members a wide range of services, ranging from technical, legal, fiscal and labor advice, to support and management of aid files, agricultural and general insurance, among others, and the performance of training activities; all this, in an efficient, specialized and comprehensive way. As a sign of its commitment to innovation and to the Valencian countryside, they acquired a rustic farm that meets climatic, soil and dimensional conditions suitable for the purpose of experimentation. The main aim of this agricultural experimentation project is carrying out tests and transferring the results obtained from the experimentation to the Valencian farmers in a fast, useful and efficient way. In addition to the design of experiments, field trials, and analysis of results, they have great experience and expertise in dissemination tasks, data collection, surveys, as well as the search for sampling points or other specialized collaborations. In this context, they have a great power of communication due to the number of associates they have, as well as their experience in agricultural dissemination tasks. Moreover, they have participated to date in numerous innovation projects, both at national and European level. Among the European projects in which they have participated, they can mention the LIFE and the H2020 program. The association is open to, through a research cooperation agreement or a joint venture, offer its resources and experience to develop a project proposal subjective to receive EU finance.
