A UK-based SME has developed such an alternative system based on pheromones that is specific to individual pest species. They are looking for a chemical manufacturer or supplier to provide them with Trimedlure for these systems. The partnership is expected to be a manufacturing agreement or a supplier agreement.
Description: 
Insects can be pests of agriculture, forestry and horticulture in their own right. They can also be vectors of disease. Controlling them is important for these industries but safer and effective alternatives to toxic pesticides are sought. A UK-based SME specialises in a nature based approach to insect pest management using the natural behaviour of pests, the right pheromone combination and trapping to target specific pest species while not damaging the wider ecosystem. In order to produce their unique systems the UK SME is looking for chemical manufacturers and suppliers able to produce or supply Trimedlure (1,1-Dimethylethyl-4 (or 5)-chloro-methylcyclohexanecarboxylate). It is envisaged that the partnership will take the form of either a manufacturing agreement or a supplier agreement dependent on the circumstances of the partner. A manufacturing agreement with chemical manufacturers is preferred.

The UK-based SME is looking for an industrial partner that operate in the chemical industry supplying businesses and can manufacture or supply 1,1-Dimethylethyl-4 (or 5)-chloro-methylcyclohexanecarboxylate (Trimedlure) at a cost below $200 / kg. Established experience of manufacturing and supplying for the agricultural sector is advantageous. It is envisaged that the partnership will take the form of a manufacturing agreement or a supplier agreement. It is expected that the chemical manufacturing / supply partner would provide the UK-based SME with the required amounts of the Trimedlure at the expected quality as required. The UK-based SME will pay for the Trimeldure on terms to be agreed with the partner and will use it for their products.
