This UK SME is an electromechanical systems specialist for automotive engineering calibration, validation, testing facilities, specialist tools and equipment. Established 13 years ago, the offering client provides a range of services including Electric Vehicle (EV) development, on-board diagnostics validation, practical failure mode effects analysis, safety vehicle testing, warranty and quality investigation. The offering client has experience in the investigation of warranty concerns and the development of processes, software or objective tooling that OEMs integrate into their service platforms. Together with providing guidance to OEMs in the EV sector on system performance, reliability, diagnostics and providing tooling for in field service and repair of full battery packs and modules. The client has strong relationships with automotive OEMs and supply chain to acquire batteries that are not running fully efficiently. They can repurpose these for use in another products, for example in the marine sector. This can involve fully dismantling or using as is depending on the end-use. The client has experience of working overseas and developing new EV technologies with a marine partner in Portugal. The offering client aims to partner with specialist companies from all geographies that have a marine centered client base and can make introductions to boat makers/manufacturers or marine outboard and motor manufacturers. The partner could also be a marine OEM. Approved partners will need to understand the boat drivers. Partners will be sales and/or solution partners in order to drive local sales as well as, support technology implementation to suit customer’s needs and operations. Ideal partners could also have some expertise in markets which utilise other modes of transport that require electrification. Commercial agreements are sought as they will bring a wealth of local market knowledge and experience, enabling the offering client to more effectively target a broader range of boat makers/manufacturers. The client’s internationalisation aim is to grow its network of high quality, international, sales and solution partners to increase the penetration of its solutions in the marine sector and transport electrification markets.
