The outcome of the project will be a newly developed software application (Android OS and iOS) for nutritional screening, connected with program equipment to be used in nursing homes. The test/app would detect malnutrition as well as frailty and will help deciding on proper treatment of malnutrition. Dietitians are just starting to be part of the multidisciplinary teams in nursing homes and are currently rare, so most of the work associated with nutritional screening falls on nursing staff. This app will make screening faster and easier.

Technical ceramic parts are becoming more and more popular in industrial applications. As the different manufacturing processes underwent profound innovation or new ones have been created (e.g. 3D printing), the production of parts is more accessible and attractive. Low pressure injection moulding (LPIM) is capable to generate ceramic components of precise and near-net shape. It has so become one of the most suitable methods to manufacture complex ceramic parts at short/medium series. It reduces to a minimal the need of any mechanical process after moulding.

Due to energy depletion and environmental problems worldwide, hydrogen fuel cell has become a new energy equipment, replacing internal combustion engine that emits pollutant. Up to recently, hydrogen fuel cell stack has been developed and commercialized to be applied in hydrogen electric vehicle. However, high- powered hydrogen fuel cell that can be applied to large FCEV (Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle), such as bus, truck and energy storage system could not reach commercialization stage due to price competitiveness, durability and technical limitation of the stack.

Commonly known as “bump stop”, the jounce bumpers are indispensable components in vehicle suspension systems where it’s used to prevent the abrupt and harsh bottoming-out of the suspension when under full compression. It absorbs impact and dampens noise, vibration and harshness by preventing the suspension components from fully compacting during shock impacts caused by heavy loads, potholes, curbs, or objects in the road. However, these repetitive impacts on the bumper, can cause deformation to the product.
